The semi-mature PECORINO del MONTE PORO DOP cheese is obtained with milk sheep coming exclusively from Monte Poro pastures, raw and whole – obtained from two milkings: the morning and the previous evening.
The flavor of this excellent Calabrian cheese is fragrant, with aromas of wild flowers, Mediterranean scrub, and hay.
Aged for at least 61 days
It is excellent both as an appetizer based on typical Calabrian products, such as cured meats, crushed olives, dried tomatoes, pickles, and as a final touch to a meal combined with an onion mousse, chili jam or other jams.
Note: It is recommended to open the product a few hours before consumption, so that it can oxygenate and therefore acquire its original flavour.
