Garlic from Nubia, a hamlet in the municipality of Paceco in the province of Trapani, is known for the purple-red color of its cloves and its intense aroma, due to its extremely high concentration of allicin. A unique product, rich in potassium, B vitamins, and minerals such as iron and sulfur, cultivated using traditional techniques and still hand-woven, it has earned the Slow Food Presidium label and is awaiting DOP certification.
