Distilleria Caffo's signature product is Vecchio Amaro del Capo, a Calabrian herbal liqueur made from an ancient Calabrian recipe, reworked and refined with the experience gained by four generations of the Caffo family. Vecchio Amaro del Capo encompasses the active ingredients of many beneficial herbs, flowers, fruits, and roots from the generous Calabrian soil, infused in the finest alcohol to aid digestion and provide a pleasant feeling of well-being. Among the 29 medicinal herbs that make up the infusion, we highlight some widely used in Calabria for their digestive tonic properties, such as bitter orange, sweet orange, licorice, mandarin, chamomile, and juniper. Its gentle, aromatic flavor is well-suited even to the most delicate palates, unaccustomed to "Amarissimi," and remember that, in keeping with the best Calabrian tradition, it should be drunk chilled (at -20°C in the characteristic Capo glasses) to enhance its characteristics.
